PSU vs the Montanas

We're back to man in the start of the 2nd half...

Now there's some feed issues...hope it gets fixed...or maybe it was just my internet lol

Crap I know. This isn't going good!

Looks like maybe we're stepping up the defense now. I hope we pull this off!

We're only shooting 38%

..... g 8-22 1-10 3-5 0 6 6 2 20 9 3 0 1 40

You can't win with one person going 1-10 beyond the arc while handling the ball for 40 min. Yakkin up 3's, taking it all on your shoulders with 10 minutes to go is not smart.

Is this all about assists and freelancing: to look for the one pass at the expense of ball movement?
Or did plays really fall apart or were there any plays being run at all....

Maybe it is why they lost...coaching??
You have to wonder what was going on, who's in charge anyway??!!
Why did panic set in so early...and who was on Rogers?

Better figure all that out before you go back to UM to get it done right!
sorry but they should have won, could have won and blew it flat out in the last 10 minutes.

I've missed few Griz games throughout the years (football and both basketball teams), and many of us believe there is a factor that makes the difference ultimately and often: tradition. Fan support is part of it, but legacy is key. The players feel it, draw on it when it's needed, and usually it comes through. The Men BB team lost that years ago and thoughts were that former players Krystkowiak and Tinkle could reinstall it... not yet.

Because by definition this factor plays out when all the chips are on the table, the football and Girls' basketball programs have produced high levels of frustration throughout the Conference. Adding a little swagger created anger.

Fan support will always be there, but legacy is a bit of a fickle factor. Your team played one hell of a game last night, and God knows what will happen next week.

We played well. Lost a little composure down the stretch, but that comes with playing in an environment like that. 6700 for a woman's game in the Big Sky with everything on the line. That's tough.

UM just flat out beat us. Every time we'd get within striking distance in the 2nd half, they'd have a three point bomb to answer.

exactly, those 3 pointers didn't happen at home....again who was on Rogers???
It's not going to be any easier the next game!!
and yes, tradition is very very powerful...PSU has yet to believe as a team, it will come and hopefully next weekend will be the time to start ;)

One other comment don't you just love the "hic" guy's commentary on BSTV: "ain't" is not a word you hear too much any more, kind of let you know a bit about the environment they played in, pretty funny!!

Yeah, that's the biggest downside to BSTV. You have to listen to the local/home broadcast. I wish there was a way to sink up our radio broadcast with BSTV.

Yes, and their broadcast was driving me crazy. I think they said that they had 6700 fans in attendance 3 times in the same sentence.

I do have to say PSU's color commentary misses a ton, you really have no idea who has the ball except when it's "up on top" or "on the wing", she needs to really add a few more descriptive phrases to the ball movement - even though she does use proper english haha! and the quality of the broadcast is terrible it sounds like all of the pregame interviews are done in a honey bucket using a kids playschool tape recorder, not even worth listening to, you can't make out a word. Don't know why they don't have a better broadcast system, that should be a relatively cheap fix.

The UCSB coverage was the best I've heard this season and they aren't BSC!

I agree. Teri needs voice lessons, I'm afraid. And the mike she uses is high school or worse - background noise drowns out the voice more than half the time. PSU AV should be able to fix it in a shot. Does Athletics ever talk to AV just across Park Blocks?
