PSU VS UW

Was Waters fouled on that last shot or not?

Eh, maybe, maybe not. I'll not harp on the lack of a call. I'll harp on our free throw shooting that would have (should have) won the game.

I don't think he was fouled enough to expect the call. If I were Bone, I wouldn't use that as an excuse. Instead, I'd spend the entire practice shooting free throws.

Your right, we hit 80% of our free throws we win this game. Nice to see Nelson come out of his shell at the end, but that last 3 wasn't a smart shot when he had Dominguez wide open for a two. The Viks really missed a lot of opportunities in this game. Glad we didn't quit, which has been a trademark for Bone's teams.

Bone just said on the radio that Waters wasn't fouled, so that's the end of that subject. Also, he stated Nelson has been sick all week and missed a couple practices, so I'll give Nelson a break.

I had to miss the first half due to going to the airport. :-|

What a comeback. A big issue that stands out is our terrible free throw shooting, and our lack of quit. The defense in that 13-0, or so, run at the end was great. Mara has some huge rebounds, Nelson had some huge blocks, and the defense as a group looked great.

Fundamentals. Free throws could have won the game.

Washington beats Portland St. 84-83
Washington, playing without leading scorer Jon Brockman, used a balanced attack led by Matthew Bryan-Amaning to hold off a late charge by Portland State for an 84-83 victory on Sunday.

The guys showed a lot of moxie coming back like that. Love to see that fight. I hope when they see the line stat on free throws, it makes them sick. I didn't think Waters was fouled on that shot but they were crazy to be anywhere near him. What a shot! The Huskies sure have a greating looking kid in Matthew Bryan-Amaning. He tore us up and showed that we are weak inside. I don't think Brockman would have made much of a difference since they would have sat MBA for Brockman and the points would have been a wash.

Again, great effort but its a shame we don't get the win. Not every day we have a shot to knock off UW.
