According to this article Medina has left the team. I think he did a really good job during Spring Camp, but the two Freshmen Jadrian and Austin have really done a good job. I am really impressed with both of them. I don't know if Jordan will be the starter on the 31st. We will have to wait and see.

I'd like to know why so many players have left, and continue to leave, the program. I thought Medina was a pretty solid recruit and definitely had a chance to start. It's hard to build something with so much turnover all the time. Very frustrating.

Medina was going to be the third string QB, possibly the 4th string, behind a red shirt fresh, a true fresh, and of course Jordan. I've heard that Austin Chipoletti has a great chance at being the starting QB as a true fresh. Medina decided to leave the program instead of competing. Nothing against Medina. It would be hard to be a starter and a fairly successful QB and then not to get the starting nod after transferring to a Division I school. How does this reflect negatively on the program? If anything, it says a lot about the type of player being recruited and being brought into the program. Can't fault the coaching staff for not going after local guys either. The guys we are signing are going on missions. To me, that is a good sign.

Medina is only the latest in a long line of players who have left the program. I know some turnover is normal and expected, but it just seems like it's been excessive the past two seasons. I expected it last season due to the coaching upheaval, but why is it continuing? And it's not just players that aren't good enough for the program. Guys like Xavian Johnson and Willie Okwuonu played big roles last season. Just an explanation of why some of these guys are leaving would be nice. I know you ain't getting anything out of the University, but something more than the generic "is no longer with the program" from someone would be nice.

Players leave programs for a variety of reasons. Some leave on their volition others are booted. Either way, coaches don't talk about it a lot, usually to protect the players themselves. When you have coaching changes, you have situations where players may not be as invested in the program as they were before and coaches may not be as invested in those players. That is just a fact of life.

You really can not say that there is anyone on that team who is too good to get rid of. They only won two games last year, for goodness sake. The thing that I am really surprised by is that there was not more turnover. Football is a hard game to play and prepare for. If you are not totally invested, you shouldn't be doing it. If you are doing it and not finding a role to fill, you shouldn't be trying to blame it on others. Man up and take responsibility.

Scrapping up an old thread!!

Funny to see how much has changed since 2013. I for one am extremely happy with where we are now and where we are headed. Last night, from what I heard, was clearly a positive experience for all involved. Talking about QBs. Weber is in a great spot. Last night Hill said that Riley Bradshaw was in the mix to start till he got hurt in Fall Camp. He decided to red shirt him and allow him to get bigger and stronger. He said that both Billy and Jadrian did good things are were getting better and that Chad Leckington is a guy who could play and possibly start. Looks like the competition at QB is alive. Throw in the Hilinski kid and this makes things very interesting with Spring Camp right around the corner. Great time to be a Wildcat.

I am curious as to who this board thinks should be the starting QB this season.

Me personally I want Green back under center

I want to see what Bradshaw can do, but right now, if it is between Billy and Jadrian, I'm not sure. I like them both.
