Quarterback

I'm more concerned about O-line and running backs than I am about QBs. We have good options at QB. We won't do well without OLs and RBs. :coffee:

This is interesting. Just noticed Rathen Ricedorff has been added to the roster. He was slated to be the backup at Boise St this season until he violated some NCAA rule and became ineligible. Was a three-star recruit coming out of JC ball.

Makes one wonder if he is immediately eligible or not. I am assuming that he is or why put him on the roster. At the very least, it gives us more depth at the position. At best, he learns the system fast and helps us this season. If he has a red shirt year left, that would be helpful too. He sounds like a talented guy. If he was indeed ineligible at BSU, I would think that would follow him to WSU. I think we need more info.

No redshirt year left, burned that as a walk on at ASU. 2 years on a mission then 2 years JUCO. I believe he was with Boise for spring ball and then transferred to Weber this summer after the eligibility issue. Listed on the roster as a Senior. Infraction was allegedly for PEDs. Automatic loss of a year of eligibility, not sure if that means sit out this year or if this becomes his last year.

From what I understand, he will have to sit out a year before being eligible to play. He is losing his JR year due to the infraction. Regardless, he is talented and will really push the guys we have right now for next years starting job.

Sounds to me like there are a lot of big IFs. He will have to stay clean, he will have to keep his grades up, he will have to prove himself again, and he will have to earn what ever playing time he gets. I don't know anything about the kid, other than what has been said here. However, it would seem that he has a lot of work to do for one year of potential eligibility. I hope his strength of character is bigger than his desire to cheat. I believe in second chances. He is getting his. :coffee:
