Questionable Play calling

Anybody else think it was a horrible idea to throw the ball to grossart? He already is limping around with that knee plus Chase Cartwright (our backup who beat UNLV) is out for the season. Also that bonehead play where Rickert pitched the ball to bauman was actually a designed play. That cost us three points. Souers is a knucklehead

Jacks offense was sputtering. I liked the trick plays (reverse for td by Shanks and muffed pitch from Rickert) in effort to spice things up and be less predictable. Will agree with you that I didn't like the pass to Grossart considering he's been injured and NAU's down to their third string qb as backup.

Souers has been crucified in the past for being too conservative. It's a case of damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.

well he has earned that. and calling a passing play when we are already in field goal range is risky, calling a passing play and a lateral is just stupid. although we have been winning, and thats all that matters. he had some poor calls in the game against unlv

.....just think what would happen to our season if we had play Nick Perry (3rd string) because grossart was injured. And he did take a pretty good hit on that play
