If they want him, I say take him. CSU will never do much with him as HC.

Let’s hope Rahe sticks around as long as possible! Here’s to winning the tournament in Reno. Let’s make up for the times we were a one seed and didn’t go dancing. A great showing in Montana will hopefully bring us the confidence we need.

12 years has been fun (most of the time) but I think it is time for a change. If they want him, take him. He is a good dude and a great recruiter but i still have a bruise on my head from hand to face watching the games last week.
We are a fantastic shooting team with great athletic ability but still the same things (zone & press) stop the team in its tracks. I know we have the resources and facilities to find the next Jay Hill of basketball and Im willing to sit through a few down years to give a new coach a chance. Weber has had a long line of great teams so I know we will bounce back.

You better hope that Wildcat doesn't see this post, he will rip you a new one  .

I know that I agree with what you have said, as so do others. Its funny that Wildcat gives us crap for how we all knew things would play out this year. Now he is nowhere to be found. He will still want Rahe even if we had back-to-back-to-back losing seasons. These past two games are great examples of how he coaches or lack thereof. The inability to break a press, zone, and stubbornness are the reasons we lost both games at HOME. Why not play Zack in the final minutes, regardless of fouls. Was Rahe playing for OT? Well newsflash Rahe, you have to get to OT first... I am so fed up with Rahe. The BS about advancing in the Tourney talk, and taking the program to a new level, yada yada... This program needs to clean house. Including all aspects of game time atmosphere, including the dancers (male and female), Rob, SATAG, Klauke, dumb promotions, KJAZZ (I hate Dave Fox), and did I mention SATOG? WSU basketball is stuck in mediocracy. Why is 12 years has Rahe only been dancing 3 times?? Man, think about what better could be doe with $500k a year. At this point, there are more cons than pros to having Rahe here. And no Olds, I don't care that Rahe runs a "clean" program. We want results, and Rahe is not delivering.

WSUfan -

I'll trade your mediocracy for what I've witnessed the past few seasons.

You can like or hate the guy I don't care I really don't that's all up to you. It's funny how you claim that I'm nowhere to be found yet I've been one of the few who has steadily posted over and over again but I guess a trip down South to go hiking and having no cell service means I have disappeared.

Rahe is no means a perfect coach. But if take him over anyone else in the Big Sky has. He doesn't win the Big Sky every year like Like we all think he should, but you know what the rest of the Big Sky has also gotten pretty decent and no coach regardless of which league they are in is going to win their conference's respected title every year.

Since you're so dead set on change why don't you get a petition going and get people to sign it and send it to Bovee to get Rahe fired. Step up, lead the charge, or stay on this forum and do what you do best........whine. I Dont care.

Oh and fyi, not caring about whether or not your coach runs a clean program or not is stupid. Unless you're like Montana fans who enjoy their football team winning regardless of all of the investigation's that are going on at their University. That must be more your style. Stay classy dude.

Look I love what rahe has done. Dame, CIT Championship, NCAA Tourney, its all great. BUT we have reached the ceiling.
Things were looking up in the Dame, CIT era. We added all the promotions, SATAG, new logo, all that. But now the promotions SATAG are all stale. We didnt keep building. So now instead of Rahe building he is comfortable with a crap schedule & competing for the sky title. So i guess is it Rahes fault things went stale & no one lit a fire under his ass? He just got comfortable.

I too am glad to have had Dame come through Ogden, but Dame is also one of the biggest weaknesses of Rahe. Rahe had three good season with Dame to go dancing, and he never went. Can you really believe that? Glaring red-flag on Rahe's resume. The CIT was fun, but yet again, Rahe failed to win the championship game at HOME, in front of like 11k. He has never gotten to the dance better than a 15 seed for crying out loud. As of this year, Rahe gets to the Dance once every four years, and thats crap.. The scedule is crap, and everyone knows its. Rahe is too comfortable and wont change. His mentor freaking Stew won a single NCAA game..... The mold is broken, and there needs to be a drastic change.

as per my email earlier today from talhad, rahe has accepted the position w/ csu.

I was working hard on my new blog CyclingTheBay.com.

However, I heard that Eustacy was in town and had lunch with Jerry Bovee today. Eustacy is looking for a reference from his USU days and is thinking to apply at Sir Velo Inc (Juniper).

Just what I thought. Sir Velo has went and had himself another pigmentation in his amalgamation.

There is a very good likelihood that when Randy leaves, I leave. :coffee:

Are you Eric Duft?? 😂

talhad is my go to wsu source. u can bank on that. rahe has signed. to be announced soon. wsu to hire a coach we all know well but i am not permitted to post the name at this time.

without giving the name away the below is a clue.

Thorough Bay leaves got the skill to coach the purple and white.

I hate to air this out but I’m not a fan of the 7 man rotation. Specifically, Jordan Dallas should be playing at least 5-6 minutes per game as well as at least one other guard, and not in garbage time. A good team should play 9 players. This builds up the confidence of players for the future and shows recruits they are likely to play, starters get more rest, injury insurance, etc. the list goes on. What could 3 mins each half of another guard and Dallas do to destroy our chances? Team First!

I have NEVER told catcat that Randy is going to Ft. Collins. However, his posts have definitely made me LOL!! The Thorough Bay Leaves is pretty clever.

As for the 7 man rotation...Well, I personally think that Morris (even though he is a walk on) is better than Dallas. At least he plays hard and has 5 fouls to give. I would put him in for 3-5 each night. Dallas, well, he is just slow. He will be a star at a DII next year. Court should have been red shirted, especially after his injury in October. Playing him this season is on Randy. He wasted a year of this kids eligibility, end of story. Randy probably should have made a quick call to Washington about Turner. If they dropped him, that should have been a sign to us. Turner just doesn't have that edge needed. He doesn't play all in on defense and that will never work with Randy Rahe. Losing John to injury really hurt us and not keeping Gittens was absolutely BONE-HEADED! I would take 12 and 6 everyday of the week. That is what Seattle is getting. I know, Randy was waiting on the Alberts guy, but once you get to the end of May. You cut your losses, especially when you are counselling out two veteran players.

I have never ever been a fan of a 7 man rotation. How do you build depth? New recruits look at that and tell themselves they won't play so why prepare for games? Last weekend and last night showed me that the team is out of gas. I expect that to be exploited in addition to our other glaring weeknesses in Reno and hopefully those bench warmers DID prepare. We'll need that.

About the 7 man rotation, I've complained in past years when it was an 8 man rotation, so 7 seems really shallow. I think the comments about not being able to develop talent with such a short rotation are correct. One dynamic that seems to hurt first half rotations are the fact we have started games so slowly lately.

Tal, I think you are being a little harsh on Ary-Turner. He has shown the ability to hit open 3s with good consistency. A freshman that struggles on defense is not all the unusual. He'll fit going forward. Maybe Court needed to RS, but he also needs to improve exponentially before next year. The John question is an interesting one. Is he healing? I have this fear that his injury is a career-ender as he is never very emotional as part of the team on the sideline (someone tell me I'm wrong). Gittens was dumb, very dumb. Worse, you could feel it was going to be the wrong decision, even as we speculated about it at the end of last year. On the other hand, Cannon would be taking minutes away from Nelson -- and he's done nothing for the Y since the preseason when he got a bunch of pub. He needed to go -- he still can't keep up defensively with the quick Sky guards in a man.

This is not the way you end the regular season if you want to make any waves in your post season tourney, or even with a CIT or CBI bid. The 9 game run was fun. Watching right now is hard.

i might have made some incorrect or misleading statements earlier. my apologies. what i meant was rahe went to csu and signed a 5 yr deal but not to coach. it was for his daughter to attend there as a student and play on their team.
