Rahe to CSU

I have NEVER told catcat that Randy is going to Ft. Collins. However, his posts have definitely made me LOL!! The Thorough Bay Leaves is pretty clever.

As for the 7 man rotation...Well, I personally think that Morris (even though he is a walk on) is better than Dallas. At least he plays hard and has 5 fouls to give. I would put him in for 3-5 each night. Dallas, well, he is just slow. He will be a star at a DII next year. Court should have been red shirted, especially after his injury in October. Playing him this season is on Randy. He wasted a year of this kids eligibility, end of story. Randy probably should have made a quick call to Washington about Turner. If they dropped him, that should have been a sign to us. Turner just doesn't have that edge needed. He doesn't play all in on defense and that will never work with Randy Rahe. Losing John to injury really hurt us and not keeping Gittens was absolutely BONE-HEADED! I would take 12 and 6 everyday of the week. That is what Seattle is getting. I know, Randy was waiting on the Alberts guy, but once you get to the end of May. You cut your losses, especially when you are counselling out two veteran players.

I don't think there are many on this team who do. Defense and defensive strategy on this team is severely lacking, polar opposites of the Griz.

Just read a story in the Denver Post about Jeff Linder. Looks like some people are really trying to lobby for Linder. And, rightfully so. The Post article talks a lot about the odds Linder faced when taking the UNCO job and how successful he has been since taking it. There is no doubt about it. He has done an outstanding job in Greetown. However, my argument would be, can he really recruit his own players and develop them into winners? He inherited a number of players from BJ who were talented, and scored a couple of nice transfers, which ended up securing a 20 win season for the cubbies. Yet, after this season, he losses a lot, and next season we find out how good Jeff Linder is as a head coach. You need to give a coach three years to see what they can do on their own. BUT, what if Randy suddenly leaves? I'd put Linder on our short list, along with Smiley, his AHC, and Norm Parrish down at Westminster.

IS Randy a good option for CSU?? Personally, I think he could build a program off of what is there to be competitive and his philosophy is good enough to keep CSU competitive. Much like Weber is always competitive. However, CSU won't be as forgiving as Weber is for poor OOC results.

I don't think they could afford to buy out 6 years of his current contract. I think the CSU ship sailed for Randy the last time the job was open. For better or for worse, Randy is our guy for 5+ more years. Maybe playing more than a 7 man rotation would help so your kids aren't so tired at the end of the year. It is the same old story every year. We are too young and inexperienced at the beginning of the year and then we are too tired at the end. :wall: :wall: :wall:
