Randy Rahe's signature win

I'm a fan of coach Rahe, but have never tought he has had a big win against a team of whom we should have lost. (Maybe USU in '07) So is tonight his signature win we've been waiting for? This was a guarantee game against a team that has drawn more than 11K per home game in the past several years. It might be.

The Flyers play at the University of Dayton Arena, which has hosted the NCAA Tournament First Four games since 2001. Dayton has had 204 consecutive regular season home games with an attendance of at least 11,000 fans. In the past 15 years 442 of 445 home games have drawn at least 10,000 fans. The Flyers have been in the top 30 in the nation in attendance for 15 straight seasons. They were 28th in the nation last season with 12,154 fans per game.

its a really good win for weber.

just got off the phone with a friend who was at the game. said the crowd of 12,000 was very loud. the online feed made it seem quiet. he said it was one of the best student sections he'd seen and he's been to a lot of college games. said they had a diff chant for every time we shot a free throw.

im glad the team could get a win like this after such close losses to sjsu and usu.

I also agree that this is probably Rahe's best win at WSU. We really need Dayton to win from here on out. Before the game, Dayton had an RPI of 26, so this could really be a special win with post season implications. If we can beat BYU at home, win all home games, pick up a good team in the bracket buster and win the regular season title, hope usu and sjsu are decent losses, win the conference tournament, we could have a decent seeding come March, this win could be a feather in our hat. Obviously this is high hopes and getting way ahead of myself, but this is why this win is HUGE!!! :-D :-D :thumb: :twocents:

Without question Rahe's most impressive win. I've been waiting seven seasons for a win like this. Maybe now we can all stop saying "just wait until conference".

Rahe's OOC road wins vs D-1 teams (won @ Alaska in '06-07' and @ Alaska-Anchorage in '10-'11):

'06-'07 @ Portland (finished 9-23)
07'-08' @ Cal St Bakersfield (finished 8-21)
08'-'09 @ S Utah (finished 11-20)
'10-'11 @ S Utah (finished 11-19)
'11-'12 @ UC Irvine (finished 12-20)
'12-'13 @ Dayton

Congrats on the huge win WSU fans!!! Huge for WSU, and huge for the BSC. Well done. :thumb:
