I know the polls are partly for fun but if you really think about it the poll doesn't even matter to us any more. Or at least it appears that way.

The only way I can think of where the poll would matter is if we could get a seed for the playoffs. Otherwise regardless of whether we are #5 or #15 we wouldn't get a home playoff game. This is also hypothetical assuming we were to win the conference.

Win the conf and your in. Get a seed and you get a home playoff game. I don't see how it would be possible to get a home playoff game. We did bid last year and didn't get it.

I think it's pretty simple. Win out and Weber's in. Lose another game and no playoffs. No four loss teams will get an at large. Also, little to no chance of hosting a playoff game.

Agreed...Weber cannot lose again.

With regard to the polls, the Cats can use them as motivation. The polls are proof that the Widcats aren't getting any respect.

And at the same time us along with Cal Poly are the only 3 loss teams in the entire top 25. Both of us having lost to 2 FBS'. James Madison fell out of the polls this week.

If we win convincingly from here on out, that will give us four victories over ranked teams (EWU, UM, NAU, CP) and a shot at a home playoff game. Crushing the Griz in their own stadium might even give the Wildcats enough of a bump in the polls to compete for a top 4 seed.

Bottom line: You're right. We must win out.
