• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.
  • Hi Guest, want to participate in the discussions, keep track of read/unread posts and more? Create your free account and increase the benefits of your eGriz.com experience today!
  • Guest, do want an ad free experience on BigSkyFans.com among other benefits? Upgrade your account today!

Thanks for the continued support. Cheers!

Ratings sites make no sense

I looked at Ken Pomeroy's ratings for Weber after Saturday's game. Pomeroy had predicted Weber to win by 1 point, so we beat the prediction.

Going into the game Weber had a kenpom rating of 124, playing UT-A who had a rating of 97. After the win, Weber has a rating of 127 and UTA is 95.....wait we win and go lower, and the opponent loses and goes higher?

I know this is only a couple spots, and that the results of your opponents play into the formulas, but just seems odd to me....

Ratings mean next to nothing. There are a lot of really good teams out there that have some or all ratings on the lower end. Personally, I don't need a high rating to feel good about my team, my school, or my community. I've been with them through the highs, I've been with them through the lows, and I'll be with them until I die. Maybe even after.
