RB situation...

i believe Sam McC, Badger and Crox are all sharing duties at practice this week. don't know about Evander and Dailey...hornetalum22, do you know since you've seen a few practices this week?

despite our opponents d line (which is supposed to be great), it would be fantastic if we ran all over these guys, despite being down to our last backs...we can only hope!

You wont run all over "these guys", You might beat us with the pass but you wont with the run. Fletcher is back, and the rest are healthy and we have a lot of depth. Our D-line is faster than any I've seen in the FCS this year.

Does anyone else think it would be hilarious if a 17 year old running back and a 5'6" bowling ball ran for 150 yards+ plus against this vaunted front?

And our Oline is massive and fleet of foot. Looks like it will be a throwdown.

i'll assume "bowling ball" is a term of endearment for Croxdale...regardless, they managed to rack up some serious yards and TD's in last week's win. Croxdale also trucked a defender and ran upfield on his chest. no reason they can't do it again this week if the O line dominates again like the first half last week.

UNC doesnt have a bad rush defense, they only give up 80 yards per game more than the Cats do

RUSHING DEFENSE G Att Yards Avg. TD Yards/G
1. Montana State 6 185 389 2.1 2 64.8
2. Northern Arizona 6 184 507 2.8 5 84.5
3. Montana 6 168 555 3.3 3 92.5
4. Eastern Washington 7 246 828 3.4 8 118.3
5. Sacramento State 7 216 923 4.3 18 131.9
6. Northern Colorado 7 273 1007 3.7 6 143.9
7. Weber State 7 246 1021 4.2 6 145.9
8. Portland State 7 264 1064 4.0 12 152.0
9. Idaho State 7 248 1464 5.9 17 209.1

Yes, that's a term of endearment for Croxdale. I used to call him Sparky, bowling ball, of the human hydrant during camp.

I think it will depend on how quickly Sac State gets used to running in their new Nike snow shoes.

Have any of your guys ever SEEN snow before, sound like about a foot in Bozeman today.

Dont worry about the weather, we have good field turf now and it will be good footing. Temps should be in the mid 30's so that isnt bad either.

I really expect a good game, Sac has been steadily improving and I had picked them as a darkhorse to be a contender this year, I know you had some injuries that set you back some this year but it looks like you are a quality team (dont let superhornet hear me say this)

They are waiting !!

Snow? Did you forget we are about 70 miles from Tahoe? You can see it in the mountains from the upper bleachers and pressbox. Doesn't mean they have played in it though, I'd guess the Montana schools play in it a few times a year at most.

It looks like Dailey is done for the year. Crox is a little banged up (shoulder) but with McCowan coming back and Badger stepping up, we should be okay. Good chance that MBT will start, too.

Dailey was told not to come back until Spring. apparently he didn't do some things that were asked of him while recuperating...

Like staying out of knife fights? Not reading up for his Space Shuttle pilots test??? I heard the same thing, it has been a struggle for the coach's to keep the reins on him. This is what I was talking about before the season when everyone was asking why Washington booted him.
