Pretty big wins at home vs Kansas City and Oral Roberts with listed attendance in 2,100 area but looking way less on TV. Can they keep the momentum going and win on the road? That will be a big test. Couple of plays from beating the U and UT Arlington…could be 6-2 if they had, but of course if ifs and buts were candy and nuts, it would be Christmas every morning.

Like the energy and effort. I think the upcoming games will give a better measuring stick. I’ll probably make it to more Mammoth games than I do to Weber State basketball and football due to crappy prices and promotions. That should be very telling on the state of athletics department.

This team is a lot better than last season but we still haven’t seen a legit opponent other than Utah State who had a bad shooting night. We likely won’t see how good this team truly is until conference

I take it vartianen is hurt? Haven’t seen him the last couple games. I’ll hold off judgment until after the big sky conference season but I think we need to move on from Duft. He’s a great guy and does a lot of things well but he isn’t taking the program where it was or needs to go.

It’s evident during Duft’s tenure and the last stretch of Rahe that the team doesn’t care as much about in state rivalry games. U of U is weak and the Wildcats had a win and turned it into a loss. I’m not seeing any big jump that bought him this extra extension. I am thinking no higher than 4th in Big Sky and another Big Sky Tournament exit in first or second round.

I hope I am wrong…just not seeing it. Now that Mammoth Hockey is here, I’m not even watching most games or even aware they are playing until I see the alert on my phone. Evidently not the only one losing interest as games only draw 2K (listed) now.

Hopefully I’m eating a steaming bowl of shut the hell up soup at the end of the year.
