Love it!

Good press or bad press, it's press and gets our name out there. It's not like we're a horrible team either, we back it up on the field. I think this will be the catalyst that amps up the interest and hype in our program, getting people to come from Spokane to watch games. It's the first step towards becoming a top-tier program in FCS. Once attendance numbers are up and stable, more $ and attention can be focused on improving the stadium from a big HS stadium to a legit FCS stadium.

And seriously, we need to come up with a nickname before one is chosen for us.

The Lava Pit
The Roos
Hell on Turf
The Red Zone
The Pad
Aunt Flo

Any others?

The Red Carpet
Big Red
Devil's Playground
Clifford's Crib
Bobcat Stains
The Hotbed
Gingers' Delight

The official name of the field/stadium will be changed to Roos Field barring a financial contribution bigger than his, so you can go ahead and toss 'The Roos'. I personally like The Red Carpet... if it's not to hot fans could dress up in tuxes.

LSU is going Purple. Might they steal some of EWU's exposure?

To All Katy, Texas Fans.
Spoke with Levi today at practice, he said his brother Cory should be here in about 2 to 3 weeks. Our team is looking good, Levi also stated he loves the competition between the 6 Quarter Backs. TylerJolley older brother Jordan is another walkon last week, Tyler stated if he doesn't lose to much weight, he will on the DL, he also stated how fast he is.

My input for the Red Turf, "Roos Blood Alley" tampoons or not  Another young man came in today Matt Lawrence from SandPoint, Idaho via Carroll College, about 245 lbs, WR or TE, looks ok. I checked with QB Coach Zach Hill, the scrimmage will be on Saturday 1 pm, on the Practice Field. Will be a mixture of practice and scrimmage. Check Football Roster, there should be an Numerical Roster. Dave had his corrections of all personnel, some no numbers today at practice. See you at practice tomorrow, supposed to rain/high winds.Means I will sit in my truck and watch practice. Hate when we practice on the muddy field, we ends up with to many injuries. Hope this is not the case. "Go Eagles". Vic

Thanks for the update Vic!

Forgot to mention 4 of our graduated players were @ practice on Wednesday. Darius Romero, Greg Peach, Jarrett, and Erik Meyer. Romero spent about 3 years with Miami, Dolphins, he is now playing in the Canadian League. He and Greg are on the same team anchoring the DL. Attended practic today, cold & windy. Plenty of running plays, some passing plays. Tiwan is in his ready form, along with Tyler Hart, Tyler is going to be a great Slot Receiver, providing he doesn't get hurt. Our Wide Receivers are getting better.

Saturday the team will start about noon, practice about 1hour, then Scrimmage for about 1 hour on the practice field. Hope the weather is a little better. I noticed Caleb Worthington,Cody Humphrey OL,Will Post,Brandon Murphy, they are going to be great players. Lots of "BEEF" on the OL.

What I have seen so far, I think we will have a better OL for years to come barring injuries. Concern about Little Brice Lahey  He is constantly limping @ and after practice. He said it is tiresome now, I remind him he haven't done anything for a year, now he must get back to where he was before his accident. "Go Eags"! Vic

Thanks Vic, some of us who know you really appreciate what you have to say...you are indeed EWU's #1 fan/supporter.

The o-line will be the key ! starting with the center Chris Powers ,all big sky last year and looking bigger and stronger as of today ! along with gabe and Post we should be able to run the ball at will ! GO EAGS !

Obzerver,
Thank you very much for the compliment. I really enjoy being around those young men and women. Miss seeing you around the area. Hope things are going well with you and the family. What is Skyler doing now? Give him our best. Since I lost my beautiful wife of 45 years 10 years ago, this help me with my grieving process. Help me for at least a couple of hours once I get to EWU.

Hope to see many of our "FANS" at practice/scrimmage today. Practice starts @ noon, scrimmage @ 1pm. should be nice weather today. According to the weather man/woman, the high is supposed to be 58, let us keep our fingers crossed. Hope no one think I am unfair with some of our OL personnel. I know what the returning players are capable of doing, I have been focused on the new players coming, and believe me, they are going to be "Outstanding" mixing with the other OL Personnel.

Our Defense will be damn good, with Renard Williams,Evan Cook,David Miles,Will Kotea, and others. At practice the are acting like Beasts" no pumt intended. Some of our other players that have had injuries, are taking it easy until the Summer Qtr. get started. I can tell you this, "All of our FANS will be impressed. Watch our for one of our players who started as a Freshman, Paul Ena. I hate talking about players, but once you have seen them, you must let everyone know. Well I will be there today, hope to see more of our fans there. Go Eags! Vic

Can't wait to see the new red turf! I think I'm inclined to go with the "red carpet" idea.
