• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

Regarding Disturbing Comment

I am tempted to remove this thread or at least edit the first post since nothing is proven.
If you wish to remove my post, as moderator, I guess that's your prerogative. Nowhere in my post did I say that the comment was made by Collins. I said it was attributed to the coaching staff. I don't know who said it but I was told about the comment on two different occasions by two different sources from within the program. I was dismayed by the comment and did not want to believe that in this day and age that this type of stereotype still existed.

#1bearsfan,

I appreciate your sensitivity. Unless we hear it firsthand, I hate to see something out there that could really push people away from the program. Maybe it was a joke, maybe heard out of context, we just don't know.

Maybe you should write a letter (anonymous or from yourself, whatever is comfortable) to the coach and let him know what you've heard and why it was disturbing. If true, he can take a good look at himself. If not true, he'll need to make his position clearer to the staff.

That's a good suggestion.

If you don't know who said it then I think it should stay off the board. I do think it is very disturbing and think it should be investigated.

I think it's funny people on here claiming to have "sources", but yet the info they receive from these "sources" is far from the truth. I guess I have a "source" close to the team to, and I hard some shit about Downing, and as much as I don't like that the guy I wouldn't come on to a message board and air it out. Because for one, none of us really knows what goes on behind the scenes, I'm sure a lot of stuff is said and done. I mean for one take a look at the players that have committed so far this year in regards to this supposed comment. That should answer any doubt you have. And I highly doubt Collins would tolerate that type of talk if he heard it, from kids or his staff.
