Regents Meeting 7/10

The only thing listed for Sac State is the Phase II of the Science II building. (On the destination 2010 plan this was shown as going north of the new Hornet bookstore and east of Riverside Hall.) It's listed in the 14th spot as far as priority is concerned (page 13 of the PDF document). In economic times like these, there will not be ANY athletic facilities being covered by the state budget. The brunt of the costs for new athletic facilities will have to be covered by private donations.

The science building was ranked 5th on the priority list a few months ago. I don't expect any state money for athletic facilities, I was implying tongue/cheek. Regents would still have to approve any construction private or public funded.

Why the cr@p would they meet on a Saturday? That kinda sounds suspicious to me. Are they trying to get around the Brown Act by meeting at a time when people are less likely to show to give their opinion about the bait and switch re the stadium and arena complex?

Sounds kinda fishy to me....
