Per the article:

Sacramento State was viewed as having the best bid in meeting the CIF's criteria, such as capacity, location and cost.
All five NorCal winners advance to the CIF State Bowl games the following weekend in Carson.
Those games soon could be played at Sac State, too. Sac State athletic director Terry Wanless said over the weekend that his school has put in "a great bid to be a part of this."

High school playoff games have become a fixture at Hornet Stadium. The Sac-Joaquin Section Division I and Division II (and sometimes Division III) championship games have been played at Sac State since 2010 and will be for at least the next three years. Commissioner Pete Saco said the section has been "thrilled" with Sac State.
Having a ton of recruits on campus for a playoff game certainly can't hurt.

Sounds like your line of thinking is that he (or anyone) is entitled to their job. The real world operates in a different manner.

No, SD. I'm sorta like the Big Cat...intensely loyal to my friends. Lou Baiz is a REALLY good coach, and never did anything improper.

Unlike Mooshagian, who couldn't coach his way out of a wet paper bag, or those coaches at other schools who start messing with the help....

I’m not going to rehash this saga, but know that any HC in any program at any university has the right to make moves in whatever direction they deem necessary. If this means changing well established coaches then so be it, as HC they have that authority.

Yes they have the authority. The question is, will Lou steer his Folsom kids to Sac State.

I have heard nothing but great things about Coach Baiz...but with that said, any coach worth a damn would never steer a player away from a program. They would help players choose what best fits that players opportunity to play, as well as academics and finances. For a coach it should never be personal. Now if a "said" college screws over an player from a HS, for example pulling a scholly after a player gives a verbal or something, then a HS Head Coach could possibly recommend to other players in his program that a paticular college recruiting habits are bad...have seen that before. :twocents:

This is pretty much what I was thinking too. I doubt he'd steer a kid away from a chance at a schollie.

In the strange, but true category, the only D1AA interest I got out of high school was a partial schollie offer to play TE/DE at Grambling State. However, my coach DID steer me away as I would've been one of 2 white players on the roster.
