Rod Smith Tweeted that his son will be playing football at UNC.

@TheREALrodSmith: Excited for my son Devin. He just checked in to play football for the University of Northern Colorado. We appreciate Coach Collins for opp.

I can't find any info on the kid. I googled his name, but came up with a Devin Smith who plays for Ohio State. Anyone with a scoop on this kid?

His son might be in Florida ... I was looking in Colorado prep lists.

from an old article on Rod:
In January 2000, he was arrested on a domestic-abuse charge stemming from an incident involving the mother of his two sons, Jamie Mourglia. For a guy dedicated to turning negatives into positives, this was a serious challenge.

In the aftermath of the arrest, his two sons, Roderick Jr., now 13, and Devin, 11, moved with their mother to Florida.

could it be Devin Smith from Coral Springs Florida?

Devin Smith DB/WR Jersey # 80
Coral Springs Colts
Devin Smith, 5-8, 155, Coral Springs Charter (that was a couple years old)

He's a little guy and it sounds like he is walking on but that's how you find the diamonds in the rough that have been the key to this program in the past.

I was at practice today and he was dressed on the sideline. I did not see him in any plays.
He had a white (defensive) jersey, and yes, he is small.

That is all ... for now.

Who cares? UNc football sucks anyway. Lost most games this season it's ridicolous. Good Luck!

We lost all the games this season not most. And if you don't care, why are you here?
