Official roster and schedule posted today on EWU's official website! Geoffrey Allen is not returning, Parker Kelly and Tyler Harvey are the walkons. I wish Geoffrey the best! Both Kelly and Harvey sound like great players for non scholarship players, wouldn't be surprised at all to see both of them earn scholarships in the future! :thumb:

Wrote about this a little bit, but very interesting schedule.

5 tough road games... at Gonzaga, UCLA, Oregon, Wash St, and St. Mary's (not to mention Hawaii)... if they can take 2 of those 5, I think they would have to be feeling great about themselves. They will definitely be well-tested by the time the Big Sky season begins.

Jon:

Not to throw cold water on the enthusiasm which is great and will be great for the team, but 2 out of 5 ? If Coach Hayford wins just one of those road games you mentioned, then he is coach of the year and maybe coach of decade. Those five teams are all dramatically improved, except Washington State, but the Eagles are not in the same class as WSU yet.

Hope is always great, but false hope can lead to no hope.

The Eagles can and will get it done, but it is going to take three years to build the program to what the great EWU fans want and deserve.

Thank you

Touche.

You are right in that those teams should be very solid (except as you say WSU, who I think will struggle this year)... I am very intrigued by how they play in these games and how they respond to Hayford.

I totally agree with you, usually I get excited about those kinds of games, but know in my heart we're probably going to get roasted. I'd be happy with 1-5 of those.

I hope I am wrong, but it is going to be a bumpy ride. I am betting that we will go 4-8 in pre-conference and then start off 0-2 due to the first conference games being on the road in Montana. So, 4-10 for the first half of the season.

Agree or disagree, I find your comments always insightful and obviously you do your homework. YOU KNOW BASKETBALL.

I applaud you for your efforts always.

Failed to mention, you as well Edubalum, good going.

Thanks nwhoops, but I am more of a football guy. Started following our basketball team more this past year. Like the direction of the team and looking forward to seeing what Coach Hayford can do. Transitions are always tough but the players should adapt.
