Round 2: Sac State v. Eastern Washington

I think most of the 3's came against our zone, I think we need to go man and put Demps on Harvey, Hornsby on Bliznyuk when he is in and Mills on VonHofe when he is in. They usually take Miljovic and Jois's place on the floor so when they aren't in you can go back to zone and close out on Harvey and Brandon.

Also going to have to press like the game in Cheney where we came from 16 back with the press. Got to let it all hang out and take some chances on D but not in the half court. Got to play them straight up after mid court. Press and trap in the back court and harass the ball handlers. We have the personel to do this.

It doesn't look good; if they don't slow down, it's over. Terrible way to have to end the Big Sky season tho.
Good to see some life out of Stuteville. Not many teams will beat EWU if they shoot like this...and none of the teams in the BSC will beat them.

91-83 EWU win. Hornets get a flurry of points late to make the score look respectable. Good to see Garrity make some shots in the closing minutes. And McKinney hands down outplayed Harvey. Any questions about BSC POTY were answered tonight. Sad end to an amazing season.

I agree sad end to amazing season, but with the talent that did not even see time this year, we have a bright future ahead. Job well done representin Hornets

Amazing season for an amazing group of young men. My wife and I have enjoyed being able to watch this team, this season. Thank you Hornets for all the entertainment and thrills you have provided. You have put Sac St on the basketball map. Dylan, Mikh, Eric, Nick, Cody, Zach, Alex, Dreon, Marcus, Justin, Trevis, Mason, Jiday, and James, you all hold a special place in Hornet history. 2014-2015 will never be forgotten. Having got to know some of you, I wish each one of you all the success that life has to give you.

Who says the season's over? We have 20 wins on the men's side and are potentially the top finisher not going to the NCAAs on the women's side. I think things look good for dueling NIT/WNIT appearances. The school has already said it will be a done deal on the women's side if UM wins the conference tournament. Twenty wins is generally good for an at large to the NIT on the men's side, and if it's not, there's always the CIT and the CBI....

How bout just one more game against our rivals who took us off the schedule. Davis goes down to Hawaii tonight in the Big West tourney and will go post season. Would be so awesome to see a Causeway match up after all this season Seems like a smart and logical move by the NIT to pit the two rivals against each other with both schools having their best Div I seasons by far. And would obviously be at Rec Hall in Davis. Cannot see Davis turning down us again if this came to pass.

This makes an amazing amount of sense to me. Guaranteed sell-out.

Yep, instant sell out. But I'd guess if we're offerred postseason basketball, we're talking CBI or CIT...

Yup. The BSC isn't getting 2 NIT bids, and the BSC team that loses tonight will get the lone BSC NIT bid. It would be nice to whip the dungpile in the NIT since they ducked us this year though. No doubt we are the better team.
