RPI Going Forward

What is a realistic seed WSU could get next season given the schedule we know so far? How high could WSU get next year? Maybe an 11 seed?

Depends on how many of those you WIN next year. Again, the issue is not necessarily SOS -- there were six teams in the Big Sky whose non-conference SOS was in the top 150. The problem was the total dearth of quality non-conference wins by Big Sky teams. Your RPI next year is dependent on two things: how many quality wins you can get in the non-conference AND how many quality wins the rest of the league can get, so that their RPI is better when you play them in league.

As I look around the league for next year, I don't see any emerging powerhouses, including Weber. I don't see how you are a markedly better team next year after losing both Tresnak and Berry. Maybe marginally. EWU probably has much pure talent coming back as anybody, but again, I don't see any powerhouses in league again next year.

Isn't it WAY too early to speculate? Weber has to figure out how they're gonna score consistently post Lillard/Berry. Just because the schedule is looking more favorable, don't they still need some quality wins to boost their RPI? They will be a very young team too. We don't really know if the BSC as a whole will be stronger and how much. Even if everything falls into place nicely, I doubt a BSC team goes higher than 12 and a 13-14 would be more likely. :twocents:

Speaking of Cherry, does anyone know where he landed? Over seas?

He's playing for the Canton Charge in the NBA DLeague and doing quite well. His defense especially has been impressing a lot of people according to their announcer. Their games are all streamed on Youtube.

Since he moved into the starting spot at PG (7 games ago I think) he's had 3 double/doubles and has been playing a ton of minutes. Tonight's game he played 43 minutes and had 21 points, 4 assists and a couple rebounds. Here are the game logs:

Hopefully he'll eventually join Lillard in the NBA! That'd be awesome to see both of those very talented players matching up again on the court.

Thanks for the info. Indeed, it would be fun to have another BSC player in the spotlight, especially one who's gone to battle with Lillard. Cherry's a fine talent, I wish him well.
