I haven't heard this. Though I was calling for Muscatell's ouster before the season, I would say that my sentiments may have been a bit pre-mature. This season was certainly worth another look.

But if he IS gone, I will revert to what I said last year: Complete the Delta Daily Double by replacing him with Gina Johnson.
 
Wow...you have to wonder why he would go back as I think he has finally turned a corner with this team. Although, if he does go, he did promote Jamie Craighead to Associate Head Coach last summer so she would more than likely be promoted to head coach....despite SH's weird fantasy of someone no one around here has heard of....no offense SH, but that isn't going to happen.
 
I knew of Katz, but because Craighead is the Associate Head Coach, if Muscatell leaves, I think its in her contract that she is to be promoted to Head Coach, just like when Ruben Volta was the same thing to Debby Colberg.
 
Most schools have an Associate Head Coach. It's just a title to help in getting future jobs. If Muscatell is gone, this job will be opened nation wide. Craighead will have every opportunity to apply, but her new "title" doesn't give her the job. Do you really think Sac State would let Muscatell name his predecessor? Please, the man did nothing with this program. Time for a new direction and new blood.
