Rumored Transfers DB's.

In addition to the rumored transfer of Washington State CB Brandon Golden...I am also hearing that Vailele Peko, CB from Cerritos Community College will join ISU in the fall.

Once again these are just rumors so we will have to see how they pan out. I have been told that some of the players missing that left the program were encouraged to transfer because they could not play at this level. Plus, after listening again to the Spring Game post game show...Kramer indicated that ISU would do there best to acquire CB's over the summer. He was not satisfied that they were strong enough to compete at the BSC level with the talent at that position.

Gupton will be solid but the Bengals needs some more talent opposite of him. These two may be the answer.

Of the two rumors I would classify Golden as 70% or less and Peko at 80% or better. Academics may play a part.

Good to see another JC player coming into the program that will compete for a starting position. It would appear that there has been an increase in the recruitment and signing of JC players for this season? Maybe a change of recruiting philosophy from the past two seasons? Good to see the defense being rebuilt this season.

Looks like both will be Bengals!

Now that the APR issues have been resolved I believe you will see more JC players and step down players entering the program in the future. Kramer will not give out a scholarship to a player that does not have good grades and that includes JC players and step down players. These players may help the team win this season which is needed.
