Interesting thing to say, does Eastern even have a Sports Information Director? Cook retired in the Summer of 2021, and I think that position has been vacant. Without a doubt, there seems to be no buzz about Eastern athletics. The athletic department has a mountain of employees with titles that seem awfully peripheral. Monica Jaenicke seems to be the one sending most of the communications out. I don’t know if she’s able or willing to do it, but certainly the department needs someone in that role.

I don't even see a S.I.D. Now under communicationsre is Monica Jaenicke listed as Assistant Athletic Director for Communications (FB-MBB-XC-TF).
Matthew Kushar listed as Assistant Director for Communications (WBB, VB, SOC, WTEN, MTEN, GLF).
They are probably overwhelmed and understaffed. Think we finally got a ticket manager, Lucas Bacon . I had been talking to Todd McGann our Deputy Athletic Director about tickets..surprised he was messing with tickets.
When Dave Cook retired a year ago don't remember who they hired in his place...hope they didn't just spread his duties to others. Dave made everything work and put in endless hrs to assure things were done right...he was EWU.
