VA State was in D-II this year, members of the CIAA since 1920. I haven't heard any news about them moving up to FCS.

Sac St Football in 2026-2027

my post confused a lot of people, my apologies.
i was pointing out the lack of information coming from athletics, and that various schools similar to Sac St have been finalizing their schedules. These schools face many of the same hurdles as Sac, but it is exasperated by the independent route Wood leapt into last year.
I hope schedule announcements will come soon, the UTRGV and Lamar switch is posted, Zo should be full go now.
