Sac St. might be our toughest BSC game of the year.

Their 3 losses are misleading.

1-Stanford (BCS top 15)
2-MSU in overtime
3-by 3 at Missoula.

We've been pretty fortunate with getting the elite BSC teams at home this year.

This one will be a huge challenge.

In all lilelihood, the loser of this game misses the playoffs.

Being that Suck St. wasn't going to make the playoffs anyway with this Saturday going to be their third BSC loss, I tend to agree with you!

I'm pretty nervous about this one. Portland State has a nasty habit of getting our number too. We are already in a playoff situation.

Sac State is a play-off caliber team, IMO. It *will* be our toughest game to date and we will need to pull out all the stops. The good news I think we can move the ball on them. Having TJ back won't hurt, either.

Portland State is dangerous as hell, and we are on the road in that one. They almost knocked off UM last night. I am almost more worried about this one than I am about Sac, because at least we have the Hornets on the road.

SUU beat Cal-Poly last night and they are much better than their record indicates. At least we have them at home.

ISU, well hell, anything can happen. We all saw what almost happened yesterday, and UNC isn't a hell of a lot better than ISU is. Plus, Tavoy Moore is ridiculous. At least we have them at home to close out the season.

Every game is winnable, but we can only lose of them and still make the play-offs. But we should realistically be playing to win each and every one of them. If we win out, we grab at least a share.

Basically, the play-offs start this weekend.

Losing this one would not mathematically eliminate us, and anything can happen, but it puts 4 teams in front of us from the BSC. UM, MSU, NAU would all have better records, and Sac St would have beat us at home.

Dropping one of the other 3 would in all likelihood not have the same impact, as it is likely they will not be playoff eligible at the end of the season (still possible for PSU, but currently with 4 losses, unlikely).

Saturday is huge.

Hopefully we'll have a large and enthusiastic homecoming crowd.

Go Eags!

Everyone on this board who is going should be inviting everyone they know to the game. I've personally invited at least 8,000 people already. 8-)

IF IF IF!!!! this team plays up to its potential !! there isn't a team that can stay with us, if we continue to turn it over and CONTINUE to make bonehead penalties with the game on the line , it's gonna be a tough road to hoe! Plays called SHOULD be plays ran ! no check-offs at the line and NOOOOO stretching the field on 3rd and short !!! Yep, it's playoff time in October, EVERY GAME COUNTS !!! Lets hope we come out and bring our A game Saturday and then we can start this ALL over next Sunday !!! GOEAGS!

Excellent.

If we all follow your example, we'll get that visitors side built in no time. :D

I agree, I'm a little concerned about this game, I'll worry about Portland State next week. Hoping for a little red turf magic....

We're in the drivers seat for a BSC championship again, I don't think we'll be lucky enough for that still to hold true with two conference losses.

Easten needs to win their next 2 games, Sac. State and Portland State, and they will be Big Sky Champs. Msu will loose at Missouls.

Some food fore thought:
Grizz still play; NAU (H), Weber (A), and MSU (H)
MSU still plau; Weber (H), Grizz (A) and ISU
Sac State; NAU (A) and PSU (H)
Lots of possibilies left for wins/losses before you count out 1 EWU loss.
EWU has Sac. state (H), ISU (H) and PSU (A).
I like our chances!!

Can't really count out NAU either at this point. They have only one loss and have a good shot of knocking off Montana this weekend. They're better than what they showed in Cheney this year. We just put a lickin' on Herrick. ;)

OK, so lets have NAU beat Montana and have Montana Beat Montana State. Even IF Eastern losses to Sac. State, Were still #2 and Sac st. still has NAU away, it all looks good to me. Eastern played it's tough schedule in the first half, MSU, UM, Sac ST., NAU all have tough games left and play eachother with the exception that MSU has already LOST to NAU which we beat along with the Grizz. Now REALLY need to beat Sac. St.

A bunch of ball left to play, but that indeed is the scenario.

If we were to run the table along with NAU and Montana beats MSU the Big Sky would probably finish with the highest conference ranking, 4 teams in the playoffs, and one of them being a seed.

It nice to dream. :D

Yeah with the GWFC looking like their conference champ may not even have 7 D-I wins, it is very possible 4 BSC teams make the playoffs. Especially when you factor in the additional at-large spots open this season. Our only hope is to run the table. Obviously this week in Cheney is a big game and then we follow that up with a trip to NAU. It’s a long shot but the way the Hornets have played this season, there is a possibility we can win out. Definitely an exciting time of the season right now.

There is a lot of football to be played, but I doubt the Big Sky gets 4 seeds unless 3 teams seed ahead of a 3 loss Montana team. Given Montana's history of going deep into the playoffs, they'd be tough to leave home.

Sorry, I should have clarified.

All the above schools could conceivably finish at 8-3 or better. Only once has the committee ever left out an 8-3 BSC team, and that was with a 16 team field. All 8-3 or better BSC teams would get a bid this year.

But, as I stated, much football is left to be played.
