Sac State vs Cal Poly in 2008?????

I really would like to see Cal Poly on future schedules but I can live with the 2008 schedule as listed.
If Poly had a open date week three I would rather see them there than Southern Oregon but taking the bye week 10/11 at mid season seems to make sense especially with a long 12 game season.

That and we play at Montana and home vs Montana State the next two weeks after the 10/11 bye. Smart move by Sperbeck and staff.

That schedule is not official yet. However, I have heard rumors to this effect. I have held off on posting this out of respect for the program. The negotiations for the last game are still going on.

BTW, I'm of the impression that Southern Oregon is actually NCAA D-II. However, that doesn't signify since most NAIAs are about equivalent to D-II anyway.

I agree that Oct. 11th is a good time for a bye for Sac State. I was just saying that even this late in the game they had a common open date. Cal Poly has been trying to get a game with Sac State for the last two years and could have scheduled Sac the third week of the season earlier if Sac had been interested. They were not.

I hope that when Sperbeck has Sac in the top half of the Big Sky (which I think will happen very soon, hopefully this year), Sac will add Cal Poly back to their schedule.

Good luck on the season. Maybe we will play in December of 2008 when the game will mean even more.
