On paper we win tonights game but Sac State has been playing real good the last 6 or 7 games and we just have to avoid a meltdown. I think they will try to 3 point us to death. Any thoughts ?

I think we can define a meltdown as Spence trying to get to the rim. :ohno:

These guys just seem like they aren't even trying. They are a much better team than this. I hope they come out to prove something in the second half. Weber already won... So we lose, and this could be bad for the rest of the years plans...

Some games I just can't even stand to watch... They were content with losing and losing big. It is almost like they said "Hey, everyone knows we can't win on the road, so it is okay if we lose because it is expected." This teams up and downs are horrible. It is a complete crap shoot at every game, you have no idea what team is going to show up. It could be a good team, it could be a mediocre high school team. They lose by 20 to Sac State? Really? TWENTY POINTS? I don't get it...

OK I hate to say it, yes I know I'm the "negative" person and not a "fan" but teams that are this inconsistent... or let's be honest, suck on the road never do anything in the post season.

This is a one and done in the Big Sky tourny team.

If they prove me wrong then great I'll eat crow but for now this team is soft and will underachieve.

How in the world are you going to take the negative nancy crown away from me?!?! You all know what I'm going to say about this loss and I could go in depth about how this is B.J.'s fault. To be honest I'm just too disappointed and sad. At the beginning of this season I looked at us as not only the big sky representatives for the ncaa tournament but on paper we had the scoring ability and athleticism to possibly pull an upset even without our obvious lack in length. I hope we don't fizzle out in the big sky tourney but if we do this will still look like a successful season for hill, and dick monfort, ahem, the administration will let him keep on keeping on.

Ouch and ugly, Basketball is an easy game when you shoot 60% like they did at Northern Arizona. When they shoot poorly they aren't going to beat anyone.

Last year the Bears ran nothing but offencive sets for Barden and Tate. This year it's a motion offence. They really aren't that hard to figure out. Defend Tate at the 3 pt line. He won't go around you. You don't have to defend the bigs. They dare them to shoot the jump shot from 15 ft. When they set the high screen pack it in the lane cause they certainly won't shoot from that distance. Let the point hold onto the ball up top until late in the shot clock then wait for Spencer,Wilson Tevin or Tim to try to get to the rim for a shot.

This team stuggles when they shoot poorly, I still believe you have to have Tim and Dom on the floor more. If you aren't going to play Conner more than 9 minutes why start him.

When your points don't lead your team in assists your offense will struggle. Let alone the ball never goes inside then out. We have no inside game. Derricks points aren't typically the traditional post up points he gets many of his points on rebound put backs.

Heres an idea Hill try a few sets once in a while. I remember one the other night. They ran a set the 1st play of the 2nd half. Derrick got a bucket!!!!!!

At this point in the year, we should have it figured out. I will say it one last time put your athletes on the floor. Tim, Dom, Derrick Tevin and a shooter Tate.

I ask myself every night why Conner starts every game. What does he bring to this team when he's on the floor?

Could be rewarding a senior who's been here for 5 years. In seasons past he has been excellent down the stretch (last 5-6 games), especially last season. Perhaps he has a little left in the gas tank to do it again.

I hope he can finish strong. It's my understanding that his knees are giving him fits. I don't remember which game it was but he played 9 seconds to start the second half left the game and didn't return. I would love to see a healthy Osborne as I do believe he had something to offer to the team. I don't think that's the case, injuries happen to nice kids all the time, it's unfortunate.

We are limping into the post season again but anything can happen in a tournament. Unfortunately, the rest of the conference smells blood. Maybe a meaningless win against a bad Sac State team but probably one and done in the tournament since the Bears have proven to be weak down the stretch. Another season full of potential squandered and all we will be left with is "next year will be better." Sigh... Losing is contagious and we have caught the bug....

It's difficult to believe this is the same team that started out so well and got our signature win against K-State. Anything can happen in the conference tourney, but it's not looking good. :ohno: :ohno:
