Yeah, not a really strong finish. I don't know how you miss that many FT's and turn the ball over as much as we did in the second half and expect to win. Still, that's 5 in a row and with Montana and MSU losing tonight, we have a shot at a 2-3 seed going into the tournament with a strong regular season finish.
Now's a good time to be making moves in the conference rankings. Portland St. will be a tough one on the road, but they're still beatable. The great news is we finish the conference schedule out with three straight home games after that. We should realistically be aiming for the #2 seed going into the tournament.
It appears we could be in a tie for 2nd in the conference with 11 wins, tied with MT schools. We will win the tie based on sweep of both those schools. As far as strategy going to Boise is it better to lose to PSU? If we beat them (Saturday) they may be more motivated to beat us in the conference tourney championship game.
