SacBuzz.com Interview w/Marshall Sperbeck

Last chance to get back on topic! I'm compiling the GOOD questions as we speak! I'll make tomorrow @ 5:00 the cutoff for anyone who would like to get in a question.

I'm probably going to send him a dozen or so questions and ask him to answer however many he has time for and to feel free to pick and choose if he's not comfortable answering a particular question.

Chances of Sperbeck having anything to do with this site: zero. The last thing he needs is his name associated with some debate about the administration. What is the upside for him?

Dennis Franchone (sp?) ex-HC at Texas A&M, had a side newsletter. It blew up in his face.

I think a better route would be to contact the SID and have a 'Coaches Corner' added on the website where sanitized questions are answered to the general public. Many sites have an "Ask the AD" or 'AD Corner' where Q&A is provided.

Egg is not on Sperbeck, or the Bee really, to provide coverage. It is the SID dept. who should step up promotions and provide fan interest by providing updated camp notes, player insights, future information, etc. We are either lacking bodies or foresight by not taking control in this area.

Herky,

I don't plan on including any of the questions that could even remotely cause a stir (i.e. wanless, academics, etc)...

HHD: Just for clarification, the screw up with the Pannatoni deal was before Wanless got here. That was back in 1999 and you can thank Gerth, Ed Del Biaggio and Mernoy Harrison for that screw up. Those stadiums were built in the summer of 2002, right as Wanless got here.

Hey, thanks for the clarification and correction. I guess my recall isn't so good.
