San Diego State Thread

Looking forward to a big crowd.

How's your injuries looking this year? Any other guys banged up or in question?

The "big crowd" probably won't dwindle in till after half time.

The SkyShow used to be a Padres thing, it just hasn't quite caught on as an Aztec thing.

If it rains heavy, and is cold(in the fifties) it will kill the crowd. We are spoiled in San Diego.

Lord knows, though, we need the rain.

Good news

Freddy Amano-OG-full practice
Ray Bass-CB-S-full practice
Lynell Hamilton-FB-full practice

Bad news

Chaz Schilens-DE-held out-foot (Chaz is a WR - so I don't know if they mean he was held out or our DE and they used Chaz's name by mistake)

Lineup change

Jonathon Soto-moved #1-DE

Newcomer

Zach Scott-K-Memphis, Tennessee practices

On-Field

Heavy emphasis on nickle-dime packages
Very structured intense practice

Question:

Do they serve beer or alcohol at the SDSU games? I'm assuming it's a yes since the facility is not owned by the University.

Good Luck to my Viks tomorrow! I'll be in Hawaii, but my spirit will be in San Diego, hope we come home with a victory. GO VIKS GO!!!! /users/31/07/37/smiles/zzsmile2.gif

To all SDSU fans,

Thank you for posting on our board this off-season, you have all been respectful and have earned my respect. Good luck the rest of the way

PSU - you beat me to it. Thanks for stopping by Aztectalk /users/31/07/37/smiles/eusa_cla.gif ; good luck to you guys the rest of the way; lay one on the Griz this year! /users/31/07/37/smiles/595146.gif

I am turning into a PSU fan, except when you guys play UC Davis of course.

Tough loss yesterday but I kind of saw it coming. You guys overlooked Davis and look what happen, you guys were already talking about the EWU before the SDSU game was even played, and look what happen.

We are guilty too. We were talking about the PSU game before our DII loss to Western Washington.

Hopefully we all learned to take it one game at a time.

Good luck against EWU.

Oh, and this to the SDSU folks:

Piped in crowd noise is lame (as noted by the column in the local paper today). Your punter is not. Hughes only kicked two punts in the PSU game, but he has quite a foot. Probably the best punter I've seen in quite some time. Watching him warm up was something to behold. He'll be playing on Sundays someday...

Thanks for being so respectful of the Aztec folks that stopped on by. I hope all of you that made the trip enjoyed the Sky Show and San Diego.

Good luck the rest of the season!

Believe me, you aren't the only one that thinks that piped in crowd noise is lame. I hate it.

On Hughes, he had a great Soph year, and a bad Junior year (was injured a lot). He is having a fine season. And I might add he is a tremendous kid, as is his family.

I wish Mike Hughes and his family nothing but the best.
