Sankey Named National POW!!!

Hornets soph DL Darnell Sankey has been named national defensive POY by The Sports Network and BSC Defensive POY by ROOT Sports for his performance at Weber State last Friday.

Sankey tackled a career-high 10 Wildcats, including 4.5 for loss and 3 sacks. He also forced and recovered a fumble on a sack. The FG represented the second-fewest points given up by a Hornets defense in the history of our participation in the Sky.

Congratulations, Darnell! Keep up the good work!

Congrats to him! I remember watching him play a little last season, looking up his number and seeing that he was a freshman, and realizing that we were probably in for a treat.
