Wow. now I don't have a clue? Is the Defense just that great? Which would be very exciting or is the offense with a new OC and Line Coach just not ready for prime time. There were no consistent running plays? QB's did not have a comfortable time in the pocket. Number 1's did not move the line much less the
ball?
Defense just played down hill the whole scrimmage. I hope that is the case, With all the different players on the field the Offense should have had some success. I was very unhappy with the line play but can not tell you which player because there so many incorrect numbers on the sheet and lots of numbers not listed.

I'll tell you right now that a lot of it has to do with losing our starting left tackle not too long ago. That's a big deal. A major deal. Also, I don't mind the idea of force feeding our RB's a little bit because you have to be able to run the ball in December....but I hope we don't get too stubborn. 34 rushes for 67 yards is a bit concerning. Part of what has made this Eagle team great is the mentality of "Let'n the ball Fly." Hopefully we don't forget to stretch the field. LET'S REMEMBER WHO WE ARE. If we swing the pendulum too far there will be negative affects. Our offense will be fine this season but it might take a little time. The unfortunate part about it is that we don't have a lot of time due to a brutal first part of the season.

All this being said, I do believe in this coaching staff and know they will figure it out. Defense played great today but once the offense get's it's swag back they will be fine. I'm hoping they move Taylor back to left tackle.

go eags!

It was definetly a different style of EWU football than we've all been spoiled with (yes, we've been spoiled). I did think the defense came out with a lot of energy and firing on all cylinders. Gage looked uncomfortable, and rushed; which looked like there were new people in new positions, and testing younger ones in and out. They will figure it out, and we will be just fine.

Agreed on moving Taylor back to left tackle. It seems like the logical thing to do considering he played there all last season and did great.

Woof. Any video of Coach Reeder explaining things on the offensive production? No matter how bad TT is, 3 FG's ain't gonna cut it. Looking forward to hearing about some massive improvement next week. Stay healthy, stay focused and Go Eags!

It is logical. Not that I'm always about the logical way. But, we went 12 - 2 last year with Taylor starting at left tackle. The two games we lost were by a total of 8 points. I kinda like the old saying, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." I get what best is trying to do by moving him inside, but we have to have a left tackle. At 6'6" and 315 lbs he is a beast...and a talented one at that. Not a lot of time left for experiments.

go eags!
