Save PSU from bad, bad politics!

I am a long time lurker and finally decided to sign up given an upcoming student election in the campus that will/might affect PSU athletics. I am passionate about the future of our school's excellence when it comes to this area and the successful year we've had so far is a sure indication that we are in the brink of continued success.

Now PSU is voting for it's ASPSU members and sadly the leading candidate for president, Hanna F. is vehemently opposed into funding PSU athletics, and finds all the efforts so far as a waste  ! Should we just watch this happen and allow her to support the cut in fundings to this area we all very much feel passionate about on these boards? Her opponent, Chris A. on the other hand (I met him during the Vikings basketball championship at Rose Garden) supports the PSU Vikings very much and sees the importance of athletics as a vital component in elevating the university's profile and success. We should save our team from Hannah F! Vote this week!!!

I'm somehow not worried. I really doubt that some ASPSU President, there for one year max, can have a real impact on the Atheltics program. Soto wasn't a huge fan but he didn't manage to torpedo it.

Here's some evidence that the student reps can mess with athletics. I love how these students believe that taking away funding encourages academic success. Look at how much "improvement" has occurred in underperforming schools under "No Child Left Behind." Somebody needs to fix this immediately.

Wow. Just wow. I knew lots of student government and SFC types when I was an undergrad, and they all needed to get a life. I guess not much has changed.
