• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

Thanks for the continued support. Cheers!

Say it isn't so

It's not like the decision to remove the "I" is arbitrary. The university just recently hired an outside engineering firm to study the safety factors involved, and the recommendation was strong that if it isn't removed soon, it will either come loose and slide down the hill, or it will soon begin breaking off in chunks. Either way, because of the severe erosion at the site, other parts of the hill could come down with it, regardless of how you decide to let it fall. Liability risks are very high to leave it there. So, removal is the safe and responsible option. That doesn't mean something else can't be put back up, but the "I" in its current condition is unsafe, and certain to come apart and fall off the hill.

I always thought it was kind of an eyesore... not so much the bock I, which is dated, for sure. Instead, the eyesore is the eroding cut in Red Hill when the spud bowl was built. IMO, they need to berm half the hillside.
