Andy played most of the 4th quarter tonight for Pittsburgh in a preseason game. Had his hands on a pass that he could have picked off, but he batted it up and a teammate ended up catching it. Also batted down a pass in the red zone at the end of the game.

Seeing him play really reminded me how big of a hole PSU has to fill with him being gone. Hope he can stick around in the league.

B.C. Lions add five players to practice roster

"Shantz attended Portland State University in 2007 and 2008 where he appeared in 20 games, recording 99 tackles, 24 tackles for a loss and three sacks. Shantz was a college teammate of current Lions left tackle Daren Heerspink. Following his days at Portland State, Shantz was an undrafted free agent signing of the Pittsburgh Steelers."
