Scheduling

I'm sick and tired of having early patsies, only to schedule Montana (or another tough in-conference game) for Homecoming. Heck, if memory serves, Montana was #1 the year they were our Homecoming. What would have been wrong with scheduling CP early and making Menlo our Homecoming game? Everyone is supposed to WIN on Homecoming, for crying out loud.

It's about playing up to the competition no matter who's on the field. I don't care who is the homecoming opponent, I just want to see the team play to it's potential, last night it certainly didn't.
I would schedule homecoming opponents based on potential attendance, not on competitive level. The Montana's, Poly, and the Causeway expect to draw a good crowd anyway. There is not much interest in Weber, SUU or ISU etc. They would be a better choice to boost the gate.

Davis does the same thing. Why have Montana for homecoming? I want to have a win on homecoming - the crowd will be there regardless. Most attendees don't even know the ranking of the opponents.
