Scoreboard

Does it look like the scoreboard will be inside the track or out? Just thinking ahead to the Gateway Project and track removal....

good question. I'm guessing it's outside. When that track gets removed, i'm sure the scoreboard would have to be slightly relocated anyway to accommodate any extra height/structure. For now though I'm just glad that old one is history!

Scoreboard is in the same place as old one. They Admin. did not want to pay to move it two times for the new gateway project.

Seems really far back from the field. I guess they have measured it out for the new gateway project and the moving of the field. . . . .I thought they were removing the track to move the field closer to the pressbox side. Won't the new scoreboard be off center then? Just a thought.

It might be set back further to accommodate a grandstand. Don't know about the offset though

EXXXXXACTLY! :coffee:

I think they will remove the track in the GP, but I dont think "moving the field 27ft" will be in the cards; its just not realistic. Would it be best? Yes! But there's cement poured for that scoreboard, so are they going to do allll of that just to move it 27ft west in a year or two? Maybe. Maybe theyll keep it off-center after the GP is complete. Who knows. I hope they remove the track & move the field & scoreboard. If they do..Roos will be a great venue.

But on a positive note, it looks like that video board is gonna be MASSIVE! :notworthy:

I cannot wait to see the new board. I was looking at WSU's on Saturday and that thing will look huge Roo's. Definitely a big step in the right direction to making Roo's one of the best stadiums in the big sky. :thumb:

At the Bobcat game yesterday I noticed how little they show replays. Don't know why it is not almost every play but they are realy stingy with replays even when it favors the Cats. Is that an operator decision or?? Another thing the Eagle operators can do is add text, like if the words to the fight song were scrolled across the bottom it would increase participation by the fans.
Anyone know who will be running the board? Seems like a HUGE opportunity to build a positive game day experience if we have a creative fun loving operator.

I dont know who is going to run it, probably students. I though the other part of this project was the new sound system which will do a lot for the stadium. What gives, have they even started putting the board up yet?

I heard through the grapevine that some of the board is going up right now. Anyone in Cheney care to provide some pics?
