Season Finale @ Idaho State

Well, here it is. This is clearly the most important game of the season. Finish the season strong like we have with the last three games.

Here's what's at stake with a win this Saturday:

It would be our first four-game winning streak since winning the last 2 in 1999 and winning the first 2 in 2000; it would be our first in-season four-game win streak since 1991, when we opened the season with 6 straight wins; it would mark the first time we have won three-straight road games since that 1991 season, when we won our first 4 roadies; and our first winning season since 2000.

Can't wait to watch it on Big Sky TV on Saturday!

I agree 100% we have put ourselves in great position to grab that 7-5! I was worried about a let down against Northern Colorado but we played pretty well. The turnovers seemed to be realated to Smith's bad ankles. After he was sacked in the last part of the first quarter he looked a little unsure of his footing and the turnovers followed. Lets hope that the Hornets can keep the intensity and tough it out one more time and bring home the victory!
 
A winning record at 7-5 would be a tremendous cap to a roller coaster year. I had 2 hopes going in to this year to make it a “good season” in my mind…. beat Davis and notch a winning season. On the ISU side, I hate to see most any team go 0-for-all on the season… but Sac needs this win to end the their drought of losing seasons. Go Sac!
 
I think its been a very good season, especially considering all the injuries we've had. We've won all the games we should have and one no one thought we would (Eastern Wash.) and its crazy how close we came to winning a couple of others against two of toughest opponents this year; Weber and Colo. St. We are going to miss those senior linebackers next year, but the rest of that defense is all back and the offense is relatively young as well.

We need to put an exclamation point on this season by absolutely dominating the Bengals. They have nothing to lose and everything to gain, so the team really needs to go in their ready to play and play hard. I'm sure the seniors will lead the way. Go sting those kitties, GO HORNETS!

I predict 42-21 Hornets over the Bengals.
 
Continual pressure on their QB
Continued great pass protection by our Oline
Establish the run to throw
Have White ready if Smith goes down, rugs are bad for ankles and knees
Limit or no TO's and late hit momentum changers

We should win this game.

* ISU fact, no ISU receiver has broken the 100yd/gm mark this season. Don't let the streak end with us.

I will be watching the game online down in San Diego, hoping for a final win. I thought about venturing out to watch the Phaggies and USD play, but I'd much rather stay inside and spend some quality time with my mother in law.... :twisted:

I honestly cant see the Hornets losing this game, especially if the team plays like they have been in the past weeks. I wont even try to predict a score to this game, I just want aother W.
