Seattle Mariners 2007 Thread

What's worse than signing Richie for 13 million per season?

That would be signing Jeff Weaver for 8.3 million per season.

0-3 with an ERA around 14.0? I would say that if he gets bombed and loses one more, either move him to the pen or send him down to figure out what is wrong.

he did the same thing in LA, then won the world series with the cardinals. He is a NL pitcher if I've ever seen one, he can't play in this league(AL), and nobody is going to buy the excuse that there isn't anyone on the farm to replace him, cause there is /users/31/07/37/smiles/246125.gif

Very sickening to watch him pitch

Putz had a tough night at the all-star game. Though I'm not a Mariners fan, I like to see them succeed in the AL.

The second half is huge. This is when Oakland rises and comes out of nowhere. When the Angels are hot they are unbeatable. If Seattle can't stay consistent they could be back in, players like Richey can't bat .205 all year and expect to get the wild card or win the AL West. Weaver usually does well in the second half, but this is the American League not the National League.

It will be interesting how things turn out. I feel when the Angels are healthy they are the better ball club all around, if Vlad gets hot, Escobar and Lackey keep the consistency, and the young guys keep it up I see another AL West Title.

My Angels won a big game last night, Safeco was not happy at all. Now we take a 4 game lead. The two young guys meet today, Our Weaver and Hernandez.

What a fine time for Jeff Weaver to remember that he's Jeff Weaver.

Grrrr...

Oh no he only screwed half way, Brandon Morrow did the other half /users/31/07/37/smiles/595146.gif Big game tonight, a 5 game lead could lead to bad things for the Mariners.

I have no clue what the Wild Card standings look like.
