Selection Sunday

How I think it should go:

NDSU
Weber St.
EWU
Kennesaw St.
SDSU

How I think it will probably go:

NDSU
Kennesaw St.
SDSU
Weber St.
EWU

No way does SDSU deserve a higher seed than Weber and EWU. I think they’re #5. They will want them to travel to Fargo.

It will really depend on how they seed KSU. If they reward them with #2 for going 10-1 with such a weak schedule we’ll know we’re screwed.

Totally agree. But the committee has a horrible history of over-inflating the MVFC.

NDSU defending champ
EWU- playing the best football in all of FCS right now
SDSU - MVFC deserves two
Weber St. - Big Sky champ
Kennesaw St. - Why are they in the conversation???
I am sure there are better high school teams in Texas than the big south conference!

JMU built a team that beat NDSU and made the Natty two time in a row and didn't look like a serious challenger this season. Their talent level has dropped. My question is...

How does NDSU still find time to recruit top FCS talent year in and year out despite being the top team since 2011?

I don't think NDSU is outworking every other program in their recruiting efforts. Does Eastern have the necessary backend personnel to keep the teams level up given a championship run? Think they've done well considering making several semi final games over the past several years> Maybe its not an issue

Hate to beat a dead horse, but it was defensive receuiting. If we had a servicable defense in all those deep runs we’d have several national championships instead of one.

Feeling a #4 where we see our old friend Northern Iowa.
We deserve a #3.
After last year I'm uneasy on how this shakes out and a #5 like Ranger said a strong possibility.

OK. Your passion is evident :D No secret I was no fan of Graham. What does NDSU do differently?

Compared to the 2016 season, we've given up 7.6 fewer points on average per game. And we've put up one more point per game. I would wager 2016 would have ended quite differently if we were giving up 21.2 points per game...

2016 (regular season only)
PF: 44.2
PA: 28.8

2017
PF: 34.5
PA: 33.4

2018
PF: 45.2
PA: 21.2
