Senior day against North Dakota

Well, well. UNC has won 3 out of 4 with 2 wins on the road. Who would have thought that 5 weeks ago?

Is Marina our new lucky charm?

If we win this, we go 4-4 (and send UND to 4-4) in the Big Sky and have a shot at finishing tied with mighty Montana and ahead of 4 teams and in the middle of the pack. Considering where we started, that's a hell of an achievement.

There are some interesting posts on the UND website.
Discussion about the strength of the UNC schedule, etc.
Here's hoping for a beautiful day in Greeley, and sending the Seniors out with a victory!

Pretty measured and well thought out points about the game at that UND board: http://forum.siouxsports.com/topic/17576-northern-colorado/

Not at all like the NDSU snobbery from the old NCC days and the Montana stuff we get currently.

Though they do fail to mention that 3 of our 4 conference losses are to teams tied for first place (NAU, MSU, Cal Poly).

Their hockey fans are total dicks though I think they mellow out for the other sports.

I agree, though I put them below the CC and Gophers fans (from an old DU fan perspective).

Wisconsin hockey fans are totally annoying also it's that same chubby, pail, white trash thing the Green Bay Packers have going on.

That's a good point.

It should also be dually noted that all 4 of North Dakota's conference losses have come against the 4 teams that are tied for 1st place.

Just looking over the stats, UND and UNC are quite evenly matched this year. Both teams can chuck it around a bit, and both teams seem to think it is beneath them to play any sort of defense.

Neither team has been running the ball very good, but North Dakota seems to at least try to establish a running game, albeit with mixed results to this point. It will definatlely be to UNC's favor that we are going to be without our best running back this weekend due to injury.

I don't think there are too many North Dakota fans over-looking Northern Colorado. I think it will be another close and entertaining game just like last season.

I'm heading out Thursday morning, for what will hopefully be the first of many trips I will make to Greeley in the future. When I was in college, UNC won a pair of national titles and pretty much had their way with the rest of the NCC in those days. I'm hoping that both UND and UNC return to the level they were playing at in the late 90's and early 2000's and get a nice little rivalry going..................

Well that's fine because our all-american LB is out with an injury as well.
