Kicker Kyle Sentkowski has been named Big Sky Special Teams Player of the Week on the strength of his three second-half field goals that saved the day against ID State. Those were the only points scored by EITHER team in the second half (ignoring the phony third-quarter safety handed to ID State by Yahoo!). Sentkowski's 49-yarder rates 9th best in school history.

Well done FG unit! It's really a team award because without a pearl of a snap, excellent blocking up front and a gem of a hold the made field goals don't happen. Well done FG TEAM! #StingersUp
 
I told my wife during the game that of the Hornets found a way to hang on and win — Sentkowski should be the player of the game.

Many of us long suffering Hornet fans aren’t used to enjoying a capable kicker, let alone seeing LONG kicks from our kicker.

The Hornets have often looked like a small division 4 high school program wherein FG’s aren’t ever part of the game plan or a viable option.

It’s nice when the Hornets actually have a guy we can feel confident about.

Where has his dad been? I haven’t seen him post in while. I’m sure he’s a proud papa.
