Sept. 28th Top 25 Coaches Poll, FCS

Looks like WSU got 4 votes in the FCS coaches poll. Ahead of UND and NAU. Interesting that Sac. State is getting quite a few more votes than WSU. Will a win this Friday get the cats near the top 25 if not in? It has been sometime since WSU has been ranked or at least received votes. Maybe 2010??

I think a win against the Thunder Turkeys would raise us up in the votes section, but this Weber team will never be ranked unless they win one of the following

@ UM
@ NAU
@ EWU

I do find it odd that Weber is higher than both NAU and North Dakota, but maybe the coaches see something in Weber nobody else does

You are totally right Wildcat. Weber has to take care of business tomorrow night and then show up in Missoula. Lets not get too ahead of ourselves though. One game at a time. This team owes the T's a beat down. Last season should have been ours.

By the way...is there a traveling trophy between the two schools? I know at one point there was one between ISU and Weber but that hasn't been used in decades. Kinda sad too. Would be nice for the programs, student body's, and communities. Traveling trophy's tend to exacerbate rivalries, increases fan participation, and game meaning.

Votes yes, ranked no

Not after our lame excuse of a "football" game against the Thunder Squabs, this win makes that one a little easier to get over, but I don't think Montana was that good to begin with and it's going to take a lot more to convince people of our "top 25 worthy ness". And I don't think beating North Dakota is good enough to justify after they lost at home to Idaho state.

Great win, no doubt, and one we haven't seen in a long, long time but let's not get carried away. UM was not the 12th best and Weber isn't Top 25. It was an ugly win and Weber still struggles mightily offensively. I loved the different look in the play call, finally, but there is still no pass game because, Olds, we have a QB who can't throw the ball. I'd really love to see Jadrian in a position to be able to dish out more blows, he's a tough kid. The 0-44 on their home field speaks more than an OT win at a UM team that does not look like what we're accustomed to. I don't think Weber's in position to win this game if Stitts kicks it on either 4th down, especially the one with a 3rd string QB. Anyway, I love the win, the glimmer of life on offense, but hope the polls reflect more reality than Weber in the Top 25.
