• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

Sirens Improve to 4-0 on the road

Wingback Julie Wicher-Shockley scored two touchdowns following turnovers in the first three minutes of tonight's tilt against the Modesto Maniax, and it was downhill from there on in for the Maniax as the Sirens ran up a 55-0 score by halftime. They cruised the rest of the way to a 68-0 shutout victory. In fact, Shockley (missing the "Y" from her jersey) scored the first three TDs, all in the first quarter and had a few more after that. Shockley scored up the middle on the first play following the sack of Modesto's punter and added an exclamation-point forty-yard fade route after Amy Williams (Yay!) picked off the Maniax QB on the first play of the following series. Even kicker Jenn Bloom got into the act, taking a sweep fifty yards around left end into the south end zone for yet another score. Amazingly, fullback Jennie Ann Quan didn't have much work tonight given the high score. Other than one second-half series, quarterback Chantelle Powers sat from the second quarter on. The defense even got a touchdown when DB Angie Patton scooped up a fumble and took it in for six.

After a bye next week, these two teams tee it up AGAIN at the same place, Modesto Christian High. Then it's back home for three games to close the season. I miss the next Modesto game for graduation, but I hope to see some Hornet fans at Natomas High starting 22 May through the end of the regular season on 5 Jun.
