Six future Eagles will be playing in Saturday's East-West All Star game, four for the West side and two for the East side.

The P-I had a nice story online today with a little human interest stuff (music preference). The West Team voted on who of the players would have the most success at the next level. 2 of the top 3 vote getters were EWU guys, Trenton Pinson and Dylan Zylstra.

Here's their music preference...

Markeem Adams, Wide Receiver from West Seattle HS. Markeem reports that his favorite musical artist is "Wayne." (ed. Note: assume this is a reference to Lil Wayne.) He tells us his favorite sport is football and that he will be going to Eastern Washington University (EWU) to continue his play. Finally, he notes that DISCIPLINE is the most important thing that football has taught him.

John Hampton, Center and D Tackle from Ranier Beach HS. John likes to listen to Wiz Khalifa when he's not playing his favorite sport, football. EWU will have the benefit of John's talent next year when he makes the trek over the Cascades to Cheney to play football on the new red turf. Finally, John tells us that playing football has given him THE STRENGTH TO PREVAIL.

Trenton Pinson, RB from Federal Way HS. Now we're back on track. Trenton likes to listen to Weezy when he's away from his favorite sport, football. He will be joining Makeem Adams next year at EWU and become an Eagle. HARD WORK, TEAMWORK, LEADERSHIP and COMMITMENT are important to Trenton and will be important as he tries to concentrate on football in the glare of the red turf.

Dylan Zylstra, DE and OLB from Kentridge HS. Dylan has no musical interests. Instead, he prefers football. This will be very important when he next plays football at his chosen school, EWU, joining a couple of his All-Star colleagues at that fine institution. Dylan quoted a well known saying when he wrote about his football lessons: "It's not about the size of the dog in the fight; it's about the size of the fight in the dog." Presumably, one could substitute the word EAGLE for DOG to make it school appropriate.

Ashton Boothroyd DE/Offensive Tackle and Zach Chapman TE and DE, for the East squad have little music bio's too, but they came out later and I can't cut and paste them here for some reason...

The Everett Herald reports that Hampton, Pinson, Zylstra, Boothroyd and Chapman will all start for their respective teams.
