Slipping into last season?

So the Bears have now gone to OT the last two games and dropped them both. Are we going back to last season when we almost beat everyone?

Winning on the road in college basketball is always going to be a challenge. So the fact they are going in and playing these games into OT shows we are more than competetive in this conference now. The key will be what any team needs to learn to do which is how to close those games out. But losing on the road will always happen more often than at home. The first step forward I see is winning at home, now that we are establishing ourselves here the next step would be closing out those close games on the road.

But bottom line, this year's team is leaps and bounds ahead of last year's team and I don't consider 2 OT loses on the road a step backwards at all at this point. It's unfortunate we couldn't pull one of those out but we are now home for 2 games and we need to win those and even our record up at .500.

The Bears need to keep winning at home and pull out some victories on the road. So far this year I think they have two really bad losses - ISU at home and DU on the road. Those two games would be nice to have back. If they can make the Big Sky tourney this year, that will be a big improvement. They have some work to do though as they are currently in 7th place in the conference. I think they can make it though. A few more players would be nice, but the team is headed in the right direction.

I should be happy about our progress but after we beat SDSU, I thought we would start rolling through the conference and actually expected it. I guess my expectations were unrealistic.
