slow plays

When the Eagles run a play it seems it develops really slow from the hike to the rb hitting the hole seems slow. Is this the case or something of nothing. Is Spencer a good enough snapper to have Eric and a rb next to each other and the play could be either to Eric or wildcat.

Feels that way sometimes. All read/option is slower IMO not to mention pulling linemen. Think the direct snap could make sense on short, pound it straight ahead plays; don't want the center exchange to be too tricky as I am risk averse. You must be at practices? Don't give too much away. :)

This has always bugged me, especially in short yardage situations. That’s the downside to RPO and read option schemes because nothing happens until the read is made. I’d love to see a few straight ahead quick hitter runs when we have short yardage to a first down.

I'd prefer EB to roll out more often and more quickly. You see what he can do in space. If he's not going to run, how about a few more draw plays with McPherson or Pierce? A bubble screen or two wouldn't hurt either. I have a feeling we might see the full playbook against Maine.
