Ross I understand. No harm, no foul. I'll give you my 54 cents then...
Even with a tough loss last week I believe the guys are in good spirit and eager to get back out there against the Bobcats. This off week will be crucial for letting those with injuries to recover and keeping contact to a minimum will help prevent anymore. Every year someone gets hurt during the bye week and I don't know why. Just luck I guess. God willing, that luck changes this year.
Without the rush of the game week schedule this is a good time to clean up technique and work on better communication. A full day of working on personnel substitutions (the WSU game was the shits and it cost ISU a timeout) and going over checks will greatly help with the Bengals' success.
This will be a big week for special teams as well. There is only so much time afforded to special teams because there are so many other things that demand the time instead. 12 points were left on the field because of last weeks poor kicking game. Hopefully this time can clean up some of those small mistakes and make a huge impact in the weeks to come.
The coaches will have more time to breakdown the Bobcats and devise a winning game plan. This time certainly cannot hurt. With that being said, I expect a solid formula for a successful offensive, defensive, and special teams performance next week.
I believe this week will determine the rest of the season...best of luck to the Bengals!
