|The soccer team came through big in overtime against NAU today, 2-1. As usual, forwards junior Eryn Brown and sophomore Cori Bianchini came through with goals. They're first and second on team goals this year. That puts us up 5-0-1 in conference, solidly in first place. It's going to be hard work finishing out the season, with three on the road, none of them pushovers. Especially Weber State.

7-0-1 !!!!!. The women's soccer team beat Idaho State today on the road, 1-0. Sophomore Tamia Hasan chipped a ball over ISU's goalkeeper in the 85th minute. With that shot, the women won the Big Sky Championship and will host the tournament. One game left to go against Sac State. If we win that we will have gone through the Big Sky undefeated, a rare jewel of a season. Congrats women! Go Viks!

A perfect season, 8-0-1. We beat Sac State today 1-0 (another shutout). Bianchini scored in the 32nd minute and we held on for the next hour. Terrific defense! Now for the tournament, played at Portland on I think Nov. 7th. Go Viks!

Portland defeated UNC today 2-0 after Weber State defeated #2 seed Northern Arizona. PSU and WSU will meet in the championship match this Saturday at 3:30 in Hillsboro!

Great game yesterday, amidst the rain and wind. I watched the Timbers as well - what a difference between professional and collegiate! Here's hoping we take Weber on Saturday. We've got the making of a good team next year - we're losing only two players. Bianchi and Brown, our two big scorers, will be back, and all of the defensive spots.

Lost in PKs after two overtimes. I think we'd better practice those during the off-season. It's been a great year for the women. No one would have expected the results, given all the freshmen and sophomores. Next year should be even better. And by the way, Weber deserved to win; they played much more smoothly and connected. Next year we should show more of that.
