From UD Press Conference:

"We can always look at each other for the rest of our lives and have that one common denominator, we did it in twenty ten, we won a national championship" quote from Delaware LB and captain Matt Marcorelle.

"Some day when they say the University of Delaware has seven nationa...l championships, that's their legacy forever." KC Keeler Delaware Head Coach.

I think there's a few kids on this team that might have something to say about that. ;)

No, claiming to know the unknowable is arrogant. Which they are.
The team and it's fans have EARNED the swagger they display.

The fans haven't earned anything. Fans are just that ... people who are passionate about their team, usually have a lot to say about things but don't play a lick. That's why it's so insufferable when fans whether it's ours, Nova's, Bison, Griz or Henny fans act like they have something to do with what's happening on the field. Enjoy the team's success, cheer your team on but unless you're a contributing member of the team or its support staff stop acting like their success reflects on you.

Boom, roasted. In all seriousness, you totally hit that on the head, and that applies to all fans of any team really

I personally have spent countless hours carefully and strategically positioning tailgating vehicles and equipment into place. I've shed blood, sweat and tears polishing grilling equipment, preparing dry rubs for meat, managing the smoker or the turkey fryer to fortify and re-fortify our loyal fans and sustain their energy throughout each game. I have spent many moments surgically pouring a variety of cocktails down the weary and parched throats of eagle fanatics at halftime, restoring their voices for the third and fourth quarters. I am single handedly responsible for at least 3 wins this season. Dammit Hannah, I deserve some swagger too.

I have yet to get a single drumstick, kalm, but if you promise me one in the future, I'll knight you "Official Tailgate Swaggateer"

EWU 31-Deleware 28. I just don't see the East Coasters pulling this one out. As over confident as they are, they will find out as previous teams that Eastern has alot of FIGHT in them and won't quit. We own the 4th quarter.

With the level of donations specifically to the football program over the past 23 years, thinking the alums who provide those resources to the program don't fully participate in the successes and failures of the program is just silly talk.

Sorry, Tubby, not buying it ... Alums with the resources to donate enough to effect the successes and failures of the team on the field aren't the kinds that are posting "swagger" on boards. The fans regardless of their team allegiance who do what we can donating a few bucks help the program marginally but it doesn't make "us" "them" out on the field. Like I said earlier, enjoy the team's success, just don't be obnoxious and think it makes you more than what you are or whoever you are (it's kind of an allegorical, don't you think?).

Wow, what a revelation. The fans/alum who contribute to the program by providing the program with financial resources and attend the games to support the team at home and on the road don't contribute to the teams success. The 12th man is just a myth  , as is the appeal of improved facilities which attract recruits over other competing institutions (funded by alumni donations). Neither of these contributions impact the success or failure of a team/program. I guess if my alma mater had piss poor attendance and a small puddle of donators to the football program, I'd try and create the some sort of delusional world view around those facts. Your argument is pure sophism by a sophist, don't ya think :? (If you want facts about our attendance and alumni financial contributions I'll be glad to post them.)

Never said us was them. The thousands of dollars I've donated don't seem symbolic (UDAF Delaware Diamond Society for past 5 years). They ain't symbolic dollars that 's for sure, although the bills do have symbols on them. I don't give a rats azz what you buy and don't buy. Made it a point to get tickets on the EWU side of the ball yard for Frisco so we can bring them some South Philly hospitality.

Your arrogance amazes me. Just like how you "know" Delaware is going to win this game, you must have "known" they were going to win in 2007 too (how did that turn out again?)

to other Delaware fans on the site, please don't take this as an attack on your program, Tubby has been trolling on here for weeks, the rest of you guys have been pleasant.
